D-Day

AKMA D DAY++ had a superb showing at the Region 5 Arabian Sporthorse Championships taking home 3 regional titles.  Again with rider Dannelle Haugen aboard, he took Reserve Champion in Training Level Dressage - actually tied in score (71.6) for 1st place out of 22 competitors.  Awesome job D & D!!!  Then he continued his winning ways taking home a Top 5 in Sport Horse In-hand with Tim Wigren.  Finally another Top 5 (3rd) in the final class of the weekend, Sport Horse Show Hack.  We are so proud of D-Day and all the hard work Dannelle has been putting in to get him here.  We owe special thanks to Tim and Rachel Wigren of Command Performance for all of their work and support over the years - D wouldn't be where he is without you - THANK YOU!

DayBue DayBue

HM Magic Daybue, 2 year old pinto gelding by AKMA D DAY++ made his show "DAYBUE" this same weekend at the Region 5 Preshow with Tim Wigren and showed beautifully bringing home a 3rd in Half Arabian Sport Horse In-Hand Geldings.  "Little Man" as we call him had never been off the farm and in only about 3 weeks, he took multiple trailer rides, was subjected to the wash rack, got clipped, and learned what a bridle was all about.  He handled it all like a champ!

Although his registered name is still in the making, with this breeding this colt is sure to be a winning sport horse. D-Day's success as a sport horse speaks for itself. Mystery has an impeccable pedigree and is half sibling to National Champion Sport Horse SC Dark Conquest+. We look forward to seeing "Tod" in the show ring as he gets older.

AKMA D-Day

AKMA D-DAY++ had a great trip to the 2008 Arabian Sport Horse Nationals in Nampa, Idaho.  D-Day showed beautifully throughout the entire show both under saddle and in-hand.  D-Day was 13th overall in the Purebred Stallions Sport Horse In-Hand with Tim Wigren – just out of the ribbons.  We consider this a success as he was among the best in the Nation and less than 1 point spanned between 8th and 15th place.

Hidden Meadows Arabians would also like to congratulate Tim Wigren and his mare Lucky Gold Penny+ for taking Reserve National Champion honors in the Half Arabian Mares Sport Horse In-Hand.  What an incredible job!

Special thanks to Terry Becar for providing many of the beautiful pictures on this page and the website!"
